In the process of machining, the requirements of the machine tool for workpiece clamping must be met first. At the same time, the fixture NC machining itself has its own characteristics. Features:

(1) Numerical control processing is applicable to processing of many varieties and small batches. For workpieces of many varieties, different sizes and different shapes, the fixture for numerical control processing shall be flexible and can hold workpieces of various shapes and sizes after proper adjustment.

(2) The traditional special fixture has four functions of positioning, clamping, guiding and tool setting, while the CNC machine tools are generally equipped with contact test heads, tool presets and tool setting components, which can solve the problem of tool setting. The tool guide function can be realized in the fixture by programming to control the precise positioning accuracy on the CNC machine tool. Therefore, the fixture for CNC machining generally does not need guidance and tool setting functions, but only needs positioning and clamping functions to meet the use requirements, thus simplifying the structure of the fixture.
